10th Olympic Style Show
In 1932, Hostesses of the 10th Olympic Games raised funds for the entertainment of visitors. The star studded event was held at the Hollywood Athletic Club, and included the likes of Mary Pickford, Johnnie Hines, Frances Marion, Jetta Goudal, Billie Dove, Lois Weber, and May Robson. Mack Sennett featured players modeling the gowns in the fashion revue and Johnny Hines was master of ceremonies. Hawaiian singers paddled through the swim plunge in canoes, singing their native melodies.
